Throughout the year, White Pine Main Street hosts and sponsors events that bring people downtown, support local businesses, and help build community. Explore our annual and special events below to learn more and find out how you can get involved.
Discover Downtown Ely: October 10, 12-6pm
Join us on Saturday, October 10, from 12–6pm for Discover Downtown Ely – a day to explore, discover, and celebrate downtown Ely! Pick up a historic trail map and visit 22 locations throughout downtown, learn a little more about Ely’s history, take photos, and enter to win prizes along the way. Maps will be available at the White Pine Main Street office, the Art Bank, Hotel Nevada, and White Pine Public Museum.
Downtown businesses are invited to be part of the fun with special activities, promotions, pop-ups, or other offerings throughout the day. Whether you’re exploring the trail, checking out what local businesses have planned, grabbing a bite to eat, or simply spending some time downtown, Discover Downtown Ely is a chance to experience all that our downtown has to offer while celebrating the completion of the Downtown Ely Reconstruction Project.
Pink Friday: November 20, ALL DAY
Pink Friday is a nationwide movement held the week before Black Friday that encourages shoppers to support small and independent retailers first. White Pine Main Street is participating this year, and we’re inviting downtown businesses to join us! We will be promoting participating businesses, creating promotional/marketing materials, a passport for shoppers, and sharing the event through social media and other channels.
Downtown Businesses – How to Participate:
- Register your business on the official Pink Friday website, you’ll get access to resources and free promotional materials. You will also want to add your business to their map, which you’ll have access to once you sign up. We encourage all interested businesses to register by November 1.
- Once you’re registered, decide what you want to offer during Pink Friday: special promotions, events, giveaways, extended hours, showcase new products, etc. You can also offer and maintain a gift registry for your customers and their loved ones.
- Let us know that you plan to participate, and what you’ll be doing by filling out this form HERE.
