White Pine Main Street, in partnership with the Ely Volunteer Fire Department and the Nevada Northern Railway, are excited to announce our next mural project: The Dale Heckethorn Mural.
If you’ve spent any time in Ely, chances are you’ve seen Dale around town. As the City of Ely’s longest-serving employee, a dedicated volunteer firefighter, the familiar face waving at every train from the Nevada Northern Railway crossing on 7th Street, and the caretaker who never forgets to feed the ducks at the pond, Dale is truly Ely’s community celebrity!
Help us honor the many contributions of Dale Heckethorn in Ely. We are kicking off a fundraising campaign of $15,000 to support the design and completion of this mural, please consider donating if you are able.
