White Pine Main Street is thrilled to announce the appointment of Rachelle Bonnett as its new Executive Director.
Rachelle is an artist and nonprofit professional who recently relocated to Nevada from Juneau, Alaska. She has spent the past decade working in the arts and nonprofit sectors, with experience in nonprofit leadership, event production, fundraising, and community programming. She has a passion for using the arts to strengthen communities, support local businesses, and drive economic vitality.
Prior to joining White Pine Main Street, Rachelle served as Gallery and Program Manager at the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council and as Executive Director for the Juneau Softball Association. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Administration and has built her career around developing programs, building relationships, and supporting vibrant community spaces.
“Rachelle brings a unique perspective to White Pine Main Street through her experience in arts administration and nonprofit leadership,” said Board Chair Caroline McIntosh. “Her ability to bring people together, create meaningful experiences, and tell the stories of communities will be a valuable asset as we continue growing the work of White Pine Main Street. We are excited to welcome her to Ely and see all that she will contribute.”
As Executive Director, Rachelle will help advance White Pine Main Street’s downtown revitalization efforts, expand programming, strengthen partnerships with businesses and organizations, and increase awareness of the organization’s work throughout White Pine County.
“I’m honored to join White Pine Main Street and become part of the community at a time when there’s so much excitement and momentum,” said Rachelle. “I look forward to working with our local businesses, volunteers, and community partners to continue the great work already underway in Ely and throughout White Pine County.”
When Rachelle isn’t working or creating in her studio, she enjoys camping, playing softball, and spending time outdoors with her partner and their dogs.
